Massachusetts Audubon Society, one of the largest environmental organizations in Massachusetts, hired Kristi Kienholz as its first Director of Marketing to launch a campaign to increase membership across the state. After two years Kristi was promoted to Director of Development and Marketing and was charged with successfully completing a capital campaign and boosting annual fundraising.
Marketing Scope of Work
Conducted extensive market research with McKinsey and Company. Developed marketing plan and integrated marketing campaign aimed at increasing membership across the state, which included: advertising, PSAs, media relations, launch of an introductory membership, and localized promotions and events at sanctuaries.
Development Scope of Work
Managed fundraising and marketing program that raised $12 million annually. Development program included capital campaign, major gifts, annual giving, and planned giving. Supervised staff of 16 and managed $1.6 million budget.
